Collaboration with the government, industry, and research institutions.

PT. Karya Lingkar Hijau (KLH) is actively collaborating with the Environmental Engineering Department of Hasanuddin University and the Marine Aquaculture Center (BPBAP) under the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries to advance research in photobioreactor technology for microalgae cultivation. This partnership aims to develop an efficient and sustainable cultivation system that enhances microalgae productivity while optimizing resource use. By leveraging advanced biotechnology and engineering principles, this initiative seeks to improve water quality, reduce environmental impact, and support the growing demand for high-value microalgae-based products.

Through this collaboration, KLH, along with academic and governmental partners, is conducting extensive research and field trials to refine photobioreactor designs and cultivation techniques. The project focuses on optimizing growth conditions, nutrient supply, and harvesting methods to maximize biomass yield and carbon sequestration potential. This initiative not only contributes to scientific advancements in microalgae cultivation but also provides economic and environmental benefits by promoting sustainable aquaculture practices. The findings from this research will be instrumental in scaling up commercial applications, empowering coastal communities, and supporting Indonesia’s vision for a greener, more resilient marine economy.
